Massive Earthquake Devastates Southeast Asia

Everyone is hearing it over and over on the news. The most important thing to provide is water!

 

The water is polluted from sewers overflowing into the wells and reservoirs. The water is polluted from the seawater spilling over the land. The water is polluted from the tens of thousands of dead bodies.
 

We are not sending bottles of water.
 

Drink a bottle and it's gone. Sit it out in the heat too long and it's gone.
 

Look at all of the logistics needed to ship bottles of water.
 

We are sending the equipment that will purify the contaminated water from the sewers; the contamination from seawater; and the contamination from dead bodies. Equipment that will continue make good drinking water every day!

The Humanitarian Water Foundation, LLC has sought out a major manufacturer of water purification equipment, Global Water Group, Incorporated (Dallas, TX. www.globalwater.com ) that has been making equipment for the U.S. Military and Disaster Relief Agencies since 1990. The Humanitarian Water Foundation, LLC is dedicating its donations for this Tsunami Relief Fund solely for the purchase of water purification equipment from Global Water.

 

Since 1990, Global has specialized in mobile, self-contained and fixed base water purification systems for disaster relief and military use. Global units have been deployed on five continents, including Kurdish refugee camps during Desert Storm, Rwanda, Somalia, Haiti, Bosnia, Kosovo, Afghanistan, the Philippines and Iraq. Global's systems have been distributed to over 16 African nations during project ACRI under President Clinton and currently with Project ACOTA under President George W. Bush. Global's systems have provided pure drinking water immediately after hurricanes Andrew, Iniki, Opal, Fran, Georges and Mitch, the floods in Mexico, the earthquakes in Turkey, Japan and the U.S., and many other natural disasters.

The most powerful earthquake in more than 40 years wrought widespread destruction across Southeast Asia, triggering huge tsunamis and killing a hundred …or hundreds of thousands of men, women and children. Millions of people throughout the region have been displaced and left homeless as a result of the sudden catastrophe.

While details are still coming in, it seems certain that the death toll will rise and that the destruction will be unthinkable.
